In recent years, large-scale disater occurs very often and various kind of measures have been tried to struggle with multihazard.
For one of the measures, research subcommittee by Japan Society of Civil Engineers which is related on reduction of disaster risk and conservation measures of lifeline facility against multihazard held “Symposium on Measures for Disaster Risk Reduction of Infrastructure & Lifeline”.
This symposium aims at sharing a wide range of information about measures for disaster risk reduction of infrastructure and lifeline, and about 30 people including professors from each university presented reports.
Some reports were related on Noto Peninsula Earthquake occured on January 1, 2024 and we felt the necessity of measures against multihazard.
NEURON Pipeline Resilience Laboratory posted three pieces of reports about earthquake and presented them.
We will continue to work on research to reduce “disaster of earthquake” which is our laboratory’s theme.
