From November 23rd to 25th, The 16th Japan Earthquake Engineering Symposium was held with the theme of “Over 100 years since Great Kanto Earthquake occurred, consider about Earthquake Engineering for next 100 years”.
This symposium is the biggest event in every four years. Researchers of earthquake engineering gathered and over 900 research results were presented.
From our company, two researchers of NEURON Pipeline Resilience Laboratory participated in the symposium. They presented the research results one for each about the aseismatic quality of bellows and showed a disaster scenario at road with buried pipeline of underground or water pipe bridge crossing the river as a target of flexible expansion joints used for water pipeline.
NEURON Pipeline Resilience Laboratory will continue to study about flexible expansion joints which is necessary to keep the management of lifeline and the whole pipeline research. We will try to provide resilient technology.
